A unique piece hand-made in Quorn from timber sourced as locally as possible. European oak apart from the top, which is a reclaimed chopping board. 450mm long, 240mm wide, and 500mm tall made with 30mm oak. The oak has been left partially unsanded, giving a more rustic look. The top chopping board is end grain showing, and 42mm thick.
This is a heavy duty stool that could also be a table, or free standing chopping board!. No metal is used. Glue free. The joints are hand cut mortice and tenon, with a wedge peg. The pegs are actually 10mm hardwood dowels, and could be hammered in further or replaced, if the timber dries.
2 coats of olive oil applied.
